Started in Port Marin
Torwood was founded as a small commercial contractor working on harbour-side fit-outs. The first office sat above a fishmonger.
- 1992
Opened the Bayfield studio
A second office opened in Bayfield to support a growing industrial workload along the western port corridor.
- 2001
First infrastructure contract
The group delivered its first bridge widening contract, kicking off an infrastructure practice that now spans transit and water.
- 2010
Riverton and Ashford studios
Two new offices opened within eighteen months to cover the central and eastern regions.
- 2018
Selwick southern studio
The fifth regional studio opened in Selwick, giving the group coverage across the country.

The portfolio now covers 12+ completed projects valued at over $1.7 billion, with 1,240 staff across five regional offices.
